Get The Wholesale & Consignment Kit — US$19.99

For a maker who sells direct and is now dealing with shops: deciding which consignment shop is worth it, agreeing terms before stock leaves, and checking each month's payout against what actually sold.
What is in it
- The Maker's Pricing Workbook. Your full cost per item, then direct, wholesale and consignment prices from it; a consignment record for up to 8 shops and 200 dated lines; a line sheet for up to 20 products. Excel, with a five-page quickstart and a four-page wholesale and consignment guide.
- Shop Selling Pages, 14 pages, only in this kit. - Is this shop worth it? Each shop's terms copied as offered, then what you keep per item and per month once commission, rent or shelf fees and its pace of sales are counted, and again at half your expected sales. - Terms to settle in writing. Commission and who sets the price, fees, payment, tax, who owns the stock, loss and damage, unsold stock and how it ends, with a note on when to have a professional read an agreement. - Delivery note for each drop of stock, signed by both sides. - Monthly settlement check. Count the shelf, compare it with the shop's report, and check the payout against the terms you agreed. - Your wholesale terms, a wholesale order record and a three-month review.
- The Market Day Record Kit. Twelve pages for one event: stock, payments, cash, a closing count and the result.
The worked example
Pages 3 and 4 follow one invented maker. A shop with the lower commission looked better; after its monthly shelf fee she kept less per candle there than at the shop taking 40%, and it only paid more each month because it sold more. Her first settlement matched the shop's report to the cent, and still one candle was missing from both the shelf and the report. Every figure is shown, so you can follow the arithmetic before doing your own.
What it is not
Not a contract, and not legal or tax advice. There are no outreach email sequences, scripts for pitching shops, supplier lists or promises of placement: if pitching shops is the hard part for you, a kit built for outreach will serve you better. It does not know what shops near you charge.
If you already own part of it
The workbook and the market day kit inside are the same files sold on their own. The Shop Selling Pages are the new part. The Maker Business Bundle is this kit plus eight pages of craft costing sheets (soap, candles, crochet, jewelry, baked goods and stickers), for $24.
What you may do with it
One purchasing business may use and reuse the files for its own selling, including its staff, and share completed delivery notes, terms sheets, quotes and line sheets with its own shops and customers. No resale or public redistribution of the blank templates or the workbook.
At a glance
The download holds the Maker's Pricing Workbook (one Excel .xlsx file with six tabs and no macros, a five-page quickstart PDF and a four-page wholesale and consignment guide), the 14-page Shop Selling Pages in A4 and US Letter with fillable text fields, the 12-page Market Day Record Kit in A4 and US Letter, and a start-here file for each part. The Shop Selling Pages are sold only in this kit; the workbook and the market day kit are the same files sold on their own. The workbook is tested in Microsoft Excel for Windows; Google Sheets, Excel for Mac and Numbers have not been tested. Digital download; nothing is shipped. One purchasing business may use it for its own selling; no resale or public redistribution of the blank templates or the workbook. Not a contract and not legal or tax advice; no outreach email sequences or supplier lists.
