A spreadsheet, a five-page guide and a four-page wholesale supplement, for a maker who prices from materials plus a multiplier, or who has started selling through shops. It is also inside the Wholesale & Consignment Kit and the Maker Business Bundle, which adds a one-page costing sheet for each of six crafts.
What is in it
- Six tabs: Price, Batch costs, Wholesale & consignment, Consignment record, Line sheet and Guide, with no macros. Input cells are coloured; formulas are not.
- Batch costs: twelve material rows, six labour rows, six overhead rows, and a saleable-units figure, so the cost per item is the cost of the items you can actually sell.
- Price: fees entered by hand, shipping, discounts and a target margin on total receipts, with a status line that tells you when the price you chose misses the margin you asked for.
- Wholesale & consignment: from the same cost per item, your wholesale break-even and target prices, the wholesale price your retail price supports at the markup multiple your shops expect, and your consignment payout, profit and margin at the shop's commission. Each gives a plain verdict, including when a retail price is too low to wholesale at all.
- Consignment record: up to 8 shops and 200 dated lines for deliveries, sales, returns, losses and payments. For each shop it shows what it holds, what has sold, what it owes you and what it has paid, and flags lines with a missing price or an unknown shop.
- Line sheet: a one-page price list for shops, up to 20 products, with your terms and a check on each product's retail-to-wholesale ratio.
- Two guides: the five-page quickstart with a worked example, a printable worksheet and the difference between margin and markup, and a four-page supplement that works the wholesale and consignment tabs through the same example.
What it is not
No platform fee schedule, no tax engine, no currency conversion, no mixed baskets, no general stock control and no claim about what you should charge. It does not know what shops in your area expect, and it is not a contract: agree terms with each shop in writing.
Tested in Excel
Opened and recalculated in Microsoft Excel for Windows (version 16) on 26 September 2026. The Price, Batch costs and Guide tabs match the previous version cell for cell, and the new tabs matched hand-worked figures in 56 scenarios, including a retail price below wholesale break-even, a marketplace fee, impossible targets, a sale entered without a price and an unknown shop, with no error values anywhere. Google Sheets, Excel for Mac and Numbers have not been tested.
What you may do with it
One purchasing business may use the workbook and guides for its own pricing, and may share the finished quotes and line sheets it makes. No resale or public redistribution of the blank templates.
